| Our first goal yesterday 14:08 - Sep 13 with 1086 views | Illinoisblue | Fatawu does great initially to beat his man and send the ball in but what really impressed me most was how quickly Palacios and Clarke recycled the ball to Davis to put the ball in for Emersonn. Couple of quick touches and bang. Really good goal. | |

| Our first goal yesterday on 15:01 - Sep 13 with 890 views | Dubtractor | It is very clear that we are playing quicker football this season - trying not to let the opponent get their shape set. The positive in that is that we are creating more, but the flipside is that we do sometimes give away cheap possession and allow teams to get a run at us. | |

Yeah, I love the quick attacks, last year we were too slow.

weird as I was angst ridden at numerous times yesterday at our ponderous build ups from the back; we remain light years away from the pinball wizardry of Liverpool, but hopefully as the team gets to know and have greater confidence in each other, things will zip along a bit more
| Our first goal yesterday on 15:49 - Sep 13 with 718 views | Nthsuffolkblue | And as much as it is dreadful defending, the amount of space Emersonn made for himself and the pinpoint cross that meant he didn't even need to jump. It was both a great goal and dreadful defending. | |

I think it was dreadful defending BECAUSE we moved the ball quickly and with purpose. It was the sort of goal good teams score.

100%. There are always 2 ways to look at goals scored and a balance between the good attacking and the poor defending/mistakes involved. Sometimes that balance is very much one way or the other but both were very much at play. And, yes, the sort of goal good teams score sums it up very well. Good teams often make decent defences look very ordinary.

| Our first goal yesterday on 16:11 - Sep 13 with 565 views | Blue_Uprising | Same for the second really. Quick and incisive using the overlap with O’Shea and defence did not have time to set. We had so many players up with the attack - I think there was a picture on mitd with 7 players in the shot- that we got the overload. Made it look easy, but credit to the play. Really pleased because last year even when facing a lower block we had overlap opportunities a lot and seemed so reluctant to use them prioritising recycling the ball at all costs at some times. Nice that we have purged that from our play early under GON. | | | |

And people need to recognise that playing like that there will be times where we are caught out on the break and one or other full back could be seen as out of position.
