I think I owe him an apology.

I thought all summer if he’s playing any minutes for us this year, we’d be f**ked. Yet every time he comes on, he’s contributing. And not ‘contributing’ in the sense of Al Hamadi running around abit. He’s actually holding the ball up, creating chances, scoring the odd goal. He’s done really well again today.

I wouldn't go that far, but he's definitely Prem striker squad standard. No fears about our cover up front this season. Similar profile in many ways to Emmerson. Love McK, but Akpom was always a #9, not #10. He looks like a man who knows this is the one Prem shot he'll ever have, and physically step-improved himself over the summer. Great to see.
