Chuba with quiet importance? 17:05 - Oct 10 with 1517 viewsMullet

His strength and nuisance factor seems to undo teams at the end of games doesn’t it? Got in Fulham’s faces, had one blocked from close range, wins free kicks etc.

Looks a different player. Much more physicality than last season.

Definitely a better option than Hirst. No disrespect to George. Just thst extra bit of strength.

Akpoms a squad player... he's doing ok

I've posted it before but having to deal with Emmerson for 60 odd minutes and then having Flemming and/or Akpom come on to deal with, must actually be a nightmare in some respects. It seems to be working for us.

Definitely, Great cameo and clearly O'Neil sees him as a centre forward rather than a 10. Credit to him, great attitude when he came on today.

GON is onto something here, putting him on late after Emerson.

It was loud importance today, won the free kick for winner and a couple of crucial ones in stoppage time. Brilliant.

Poll: Ok gut feeling then, promotion?

Also loved when he was rallying the crowd after being “cleverly “ rugby tackled.

Pleased for him

Never thought I’d say this but ZF & CA coming on made a hell of a difference, just what does GoN say to him that KMc didn’t! A totally different player, & remember CA won the free kick that DoS scored from, quality.

Fantastic cameo. Used his physical strength to win the freekick which resulted in the winning goal. Then just after their corner again used his strength to win a freekick and again critical freekick right at the end.

Not sure he'll be a 90 min player but that strength will be important as a sub as the season progresses.

Well done to him to get himself into top physical shape after last season.

Placing round pegs in round holes and square pegs in square holes makes a big difference!

Won the free kick that we scored the winner from, and 2 more in injury time to kill the game off; gave their defence a headache when he came on, as he was dropping deep and running in behind too so pulling them out of shape...cracking effort off the bench.

He was always a CF. Buying him and putting him in the 10 was one of KM's more baffling decisions.

Felt the same too, Emersonn is the sort of forward who defenders look at and must think “not him again” as games go on.

Wasnt really baffling at all and he wasn't always a CF. Hisnorwvious best season including the 30 odd goal Boro season was as a 10.

But he does seem better suited to a 9 for us 100%

He was a real chaos factor yesterday, really disrupted things in their back 4, and gave us a real outlet.

Really enjoyed watching it!
