After offering Arteta a bumper new contract. Think Man Yoo also made loads of redundancies when Jim Ratcliffe took over. Must be sickening for those staff who will lose their jobs as they have mortgages/rent and bills to pay and can’t afford to lose their jobs. Although I have to ask why a PL football club needs over 850 staff in the first place. If I recall Man Yoo had over 900.

I am sure that some of the staff do work hard and do not deserve to loose their jobs but I remember the report when Chelsea new owners came in. One mans job was to drive a club car to help players who did not drive. They had over 250 mbl phones with non football related staff. People working from home, in non covid times, who would not work at the club offices. There seems to be a lot of hangers on at clubs.

Given they fly players around the world on private jets, a car and a driver seems like a bargain! Some of the numbers do seem excessive, although I would imagine the obscene level of spending is mainly restricted to the players and managers.
