Some really intricate, decisive stuff just ahead of our RB position, was thoroughly impressive throughout given his lay off and lack of top level experience. Amongst many great things today.

Everything was a bit calmer, although obviously Man City weren't in too gear at that point. One or two trademark interceptions too. Still, very good signs there.

I thought he actually looked sharper than ever, sort of more natural at getting an awkward ball under control which was sometimes (to be exceptionally critical) as slight weakness for him in what was a fantastic last season. Somehow, he looks to have come in at a higher level, after a lay off, looking a sharper player than before. We're in good shape, aren't we.

Doesn't this say a lot about how far we have come. He was one of the few last season we expected to be good enough for this division. Now he only makes the squad if one of the 3 ahead of him isn't available. He will get minutes and do well. That's great for us and far better than 2 years ago when the first choice pair weren't really good enough.

I would assume it would be the same with Azor so i wouldn’t expect too much from him too soon, but it’s fantastic that he’s back and available.. hopefully he can continue to get minutes and putting in performances like today.

It certainly feels like we are highly competitive. Emmerson impressed me today. He looked strong enough for the role and I think he's going to get better.
