I loved last night’s game 18:47 - Oct 24 with 1169 viewsITFC_Essex

Wind making things chaotic, and despite that wildcard some real quality play from both teams at times… bizarre officiating with an entitled bed wetting away end making it very amusing. The chants about Ipswich cheating as if we were Arsenal were funny, added to that, Delap and co. Playing pantomime villains for the evening .. it was fun!

Credit to our backline for absolutely delivering and pulling out all the stops despite the pressure. O’Shea, Davis and Diop were formidable alongside Walton. An extremely important point for us, they really did throw everything at it bar the kitchen sink.

O’Shea absolutely had Delap all evening too.

I’m a big admirer of DOS but I didn’t think last night was his best performance. Didn’t cover himself in glory for the opener, he’s trying to buy a foul in a really dangerous area, if you’re going to do that you go down while sticking the ball into touch.

Heavy touch that lost possession before the Diop challenge too. His long range passing was pretty ropey all night. Appreciate the conditions were challenging but he was a bit sloppy for my liking.

Agree about the game though, a bit of a throwback at times in those conditions, few challenges flying in. Not the greatest advert in terms of quality but entertaining nonetheless.

Good battle out there last night and indeed felt like a throwback in terms of the tackles flying around in appalling conditions.
Enjoyed it a lot actually, Forest were very good at times but was really chuffed at how resilient we were, rode our luck on occasions and ground out a draw. Palacios is absolutely different class and physically, we’re much stronger than the previous Premier League season. Hopefully keep it up and we will be fine.

We have no village green, or a shop. It's very, very quiet. I can walk to the pub.
