| We went toe to toe with Arsenal and city 08:24 - Nov 6 with 980 views | muccletonjoe | So I can see no feasible reason why we wouldnt do similar to Bournemouth. Good team yes, probably also the form team of the premier league at this moment in time. No game in this league is going to be a walk in the park, we are continually having to produce something approaching our best to gain any reward. We need defenders to organise a solid line in front of the goalkeeper , because we will pay a very heavy price if we attempt to treat Bournemouth to the wide open spaces we gave to Hull. Having said all that , they have had a game in midweek, give that some consideration with the timing of substitutes and we might just pick a few holes to work with , we certainly have players who can produce a moment to make the difference. Let's hope they can do just that. | | | | |

| We went toe to toe with Arsenal and city on 10:36 - Nov 6 with 0 views | ITFC_Essex | If we got a point, it would be a huge point. They are decades ahead of us. We didn't go toe-to-toe with City, they had the ball nearly all game and while we did play well, it was largely a one sided affair in terms of who controlled the game. Arsenal was a reserve fixture neither side was taking seriously, and those same Arsenal players got dumped out by Fleetwood. Neither example proves we can beat Bournemouth. It's one we'll have to take on the chin. | |

They are not decades ahead of us - that is hyperbolic rubbish. They are a very good side and will probably finish in the top eight but they are beatable. Everything is dependent on playing well and hoping that the opposition isn’t on top of their game (which is the same in every fixture) but I’m not going into this fixture thinking nailed-on defeat.

They are a very good side and miles ahead of us, I am expecting a defeat on Sunday. But closer than some are saying, a narrow 0-1. [Post edited 6 Nov 10:59]

Decades ?? Behave for goodness sake ! They have 3 or 4 players who would walk into any PL side but we could say we have a couple of our own. It's 11 v 11 how we utilise them will have a big impact on the outcome. Hopefully we are not going to be like some people and throw the towel in before we come out of dressing room.

I would be OK with that and take the 3 points on sunday 😃

Hopefully having Lukic back will be a big help. And this week Dara run to adversity Not away from it. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

We were also 3 goals down for most of the game, how is that going toe to toe.

Can see us doing that again. Add Greaves, get the energy of Ouattara and Davis out wide, Lukic will be back alongside Palacios plus work rate of Enciso and Maeda to unsettle them and we can get give them a proper go.
| We went toe to toe with Arsenal and city on 12:10 - Nov 6 with 0 views | mellowblue | If we want to win, I reckon we might need to score 3 times. Hard to see us keeping them to below 2 on current form. But you never know with football, Sunday might be the day for a clean sheet... with a load of luck and good application. | | | |

Bournmouth have one more point than us and scored the same number of goals. Why wouldn't we compete? If our defence holds firm I have every belief

Tomorrow they will be on the coach to Suffolk ready for the lunchtime game on Sunday. Meanwhile Town will have had 8 days to prepare. These things will make a difference.

They are not decades ahead, what a load of rubbish, but love the positivity. They are one point ahead of us based on the current league table

Decades lol, where were they 20 years ago? I’m assuming below where we were. GON kept them up after they were getting battered under Parker literally 4 years ago, they’re exactly where we will be striving to be within 2-3 years.

Defence will be a massive problem all season it wasn't addressed properly, We can't keep going into games having to score at least two to get anything out of a game, But that's where we are,

I thought they played Prague in Czech? Totally agree about us being more rested but they did change 8 players last night. Fingers crossed they are tired and we can take advantage of it.
