A game of two halves, no grit for the first 10 minutes and it men against boys. Town were so loose and Liverpool controlled the game. Some players were not doing their jobs and Liverpool kept on slicing us up. Second half we tried to match Liverpool but our finishing was poor.Generally Town need to be slicker against teams like Liverpool. Hopefully lessons learnt.

Well that was a reality check
Nightmare first 10 minutes obviously one to forget
However I think when things are bad it’s when you find out about the character of the player
Most of them showed plenty of grit and promise
To be brutally honest I’d have taken 3 points from the first 3games before the start of the season
Love the look of Palacios and Lukic in the middle and Greaves I thought came back into the game well and showed good character
Enciso has the capacity to be our talisman and take us to where we want to be
Hopefully the whole club from top to bottom can learn from a difficult evening
We need to be with the players and manager through thick and thin

Some teething troubles need to be ironed out quickly. Very nervous at the start reflected in the goal keeping errors to let Isak in twice in as many minutes. More practice at shooting from distance is required to bring things up to speed. Another short sharp reminder of taking your few good chances. Next three games will be critical to form the season?

Need to defend from the front better, Liverpool defence had it too easy, and Jacquet showed he had an error in him. Flemming hassled the defenders more in 20 minutes than Emersonn did all game even though GON was waving him forward a lot. Liverpool ran 50yds at times unchallenged. Scherpen could've done better on both goals, but he probably shouldn't have had to. Positives: Enciso lively as usual, Leif decent especially when Jack came on. Palacios showed some nice touches and looks classy, but needs to do the backtracking that Nunez does too.

Scherpen disappointing.
O’Shea was ok but he’s not a full back. Why we didn’t for another FB when GON clearly doesn’t rate Furlong.
Diop ok
I also thought Greaves was OK too.
Lief too was ok.
But the defence as a whole is our weakest area. 3 of the 4 from last years Champ team and one of those out of position.
Lukic v good. Our best player.
Palacios will be superb. Has class.
Maeda very quiet. Great work but not sure that’s enough.
Fatawu looks amazing at times but no real product. Always cuts back to his left foot.
Enciso the main man but tried too hard and lost a few balls he shouldn’t have.
Emersonn glimpses but no more.
Clarke looked better than Maeda when he came on.
Outtara so so.
Fleming gets stuck in but can’t tell much from today.

After a nightmare start Town matched Liverpool for aggression , workload & general play. Finishing needs sharpening up & hopefully defensive errors to allow the 2 goals can be righted for the future. Once the team knits hopeful we have a squad capable of holding their own in the League.

Big gulf in class but we never gave up but our defence looks so vulnerable. I was impressed with Ouattara when he came on looked like he'd been Premier league football all his life very composed on the ball never gave the ball away once and looks physically equipped to play in the Premier league and he's only 20 years old only a matter of time before he's a regular in the team.

Scherpen - oh no! Here we go again. Muric nightmare relived. Why oh why did we need to sign him with Walton and Palmer so much better. Who scouted this guy? GON must not keep selecting him. At fault for both goals, punches everything instead of catching, already unnerving the defence. And let’s face it Greaves in particular is easily unnerved! What must all our other good players be thinking as this guy will cost us badly if he keeps getting picked. Sell him to a Saudi team quickly whilst their transfer window remains open please
