I can't believe it's even a deabte that he missed delibertedly

Totally no way. Look at the Diaz and morocco players reactions. It doesn't make any sense either. To be fair although is the softest penalty ever its not like a nonsense of a decison because the player did have his arm around his neck, the morocco players and team will see it as peanlty. Why would they agree to missing it? No way. Senegal were so agreived because yes it was soft but because of the disallowed goal 2 mins before.

I think a lot of Senegal players would feel emebarassed by what happened which might explain their (non) reaction after Diaz missed.

The players would no way to choose to leave the pitch like that. Maybe not even the coach, i think he was under instruction. It would come via message from Aenagelese fedration. Thankfully it looks like the team listened to Mane in the end and sense prevailed. But i could see Senegal team getting some kind of ban now. There have to be repercussions or it will set a dangerous precedant.

The shambolic nature of the game was evident from the start of the second half and reached full scale bonkers by the 90th minute.

One of two things will likely happen, but someone needs to be thrown under the bus to protect the "integrity of the game" and that will either be the referee or the Senegalese coach.

Penalty was missed on purpose I think. The way Mane suddenly ran down the tunnel then they all appeared, I think players agreed it was looking suspect to missing would be fairest. If the game was fixed it likely was likely due to politics and not the actual players.

Mane had been trying to get his team back on the pitch pretty much from the beginning of the fiasco. He just went off to shout at them in the dressing room, to prevent the game being forfeited.

Good Lord! Whatever is it?

When Senegal were off the pitch I think it was Hakimi talking to Mane, then Mane rushed and got all the players back.

I wondered if he didn't say they'll miss but told him Diaz was going to do (or has been practising) a Panenka penalty. It seemed like something suddenly convinced Mane and then the rest of the Senegal team to come back

Senegal reserve keeper having to stop Morocco ball boys from stealing Mendy’s towel all game. Apparently Morocco did this in the semi final as well. Not saying Senegal we’re right to walk off, but it does seem like Morocco were doing everything they could as hosts to stack the deck…
