| The Emperor’s New Clothes 22:11 - Feb 13 with 3485 views | FollowEnglandAway | Has McKenna finally been exposed? Not finally really! Boring, turgid, dull! Another loss, another McKenna borefest! Is this another fan flouncing? Maybe, but football should be entertaining but there is no enjoyment in watching ITFC at the moment. | |

But that’s the decision McKenna has made and whether that proves sensible won’t be known until down the line.

But we’re boring to watch. That’s the first away match I’ve missed this season and it’s just as bad watching it at home as being there! We are totally reliant on late goals or dodgy penalties to get a result.

Wouldn't have happened under Evans though. McKenna wouldn't have come here if we didn't have our ownership.

I’ve been watching since before you were born and I have never been so bored watching football as this team. It might be modern football but fck me its crap to watch and IF we get promoted we will be like the lambs to the slaughter!

You are correct but things can turn sour…..and they have! Read the title. Everything is not rosey and this will not end well, it might take 8 weeks or 8 months but I don’t think he’s good enough for what it takes. Just my (and few others) opinion

| The Emperor’s New Clothes on 23:52 - Feb 13 with 1918 views | Churchman | What on earth are you on about? Deary me. Another loss? You mean three including this one with a reserve team in 15 games and two and a half months. I take it you think we would win every game 5-0 like one or two entitled others who will have the washing machine on in the morning? And no, it’s not boring, turgid and dull all the time. I don’t go to away games but I’ve watched them back as well as attending home games. We try and play proper football. Not always successfully or as well as I’d like, but I’ll take that any day over the cr@p served up by Ferguson, Duncan and McCarthy (bar a couple of seasons). Or the puzzling ineptitude and confusion of Jewell and Keane. You might enjoy the hit and hope channel ball hoof. I don’t. | | | |

Well in that case you need to get a grip. We had barely anything to cheer about this club for almost 20 years as it gradually slid into obscurity, losing in the cup at the first opportunity EVERY SINGLE YEAR and you've lost you're mind over us being third in the Championship and being knocked out of our competition we're not going to win?

Oh it must be me then….. and the several thousand empty seats at home matches and the 6k waiting list that aren’t turning up then! Or maybe it is boring, turgid and dull. Who knew?

Maybe I should or maybe I expect a bit more from a team and a manager that cost millions and millions? And least we knew what to expect under Mick and Chambers

For someone who has been watching football since before I was born (1978 by the way) you have a very simplistic view of the game. I do get that football isn't what it used to be, I wish that the FA Cup was what it was, but that isn't Ipswich Town's fault. And nobody, no matter how much money is spent should expect to be walking the league. McKenna's rebuilt the team and since the end of the summer transfer window we've been a team in promotion form. Enjoy it,please. If nothing else for your own wellbeing.

I agree with you, McK has a lot of admirers, but we don't really know how good or not he is as he's never managed anywhere else, only ever managed us with the benefit of our new era resources. I think it's fair to say he's better than Paul Cook but there's nobody else managed us post Evans to compare him with.

Don't go all Trump on us and make up figures. There aren't thousands of empty seats. If you have an argument please back it up with actual facts.

Ahhhh so you yearn for that exotic midfield of Skuse Douglas and Hyam stumbling about in front of our penalty area against Rotherham in front of 16k. I see. Oh and you’ve brought up player cost. Funny how people like you keep bringing that up after a disappointing result as if it’s new information. Eating away at you is it? Try and get over it. Life’s too short.

Click on Fixtures above and see the attendances. Last season we had several over 30,000 and the differences this season aren't all down to fewer away fans.

The OP's claim of several thousand empty seats is nonsense though. That is down to away fans bringing so few.

The away team gets 2000 max and when they won't sell that more seats are made available for home fans Capacity is 30000. As our owners would say - DO THE MATH!
