is set to headline all three nights of Wireless festival this year, here in the UK.

I assume every anti racist will be boycotting these concerts.

Antisemites and Jew haters will be put on ignore.

Without checking who is playing I’m going to assume that none of them have pushed antisemitic conspiracy theories and Hitler worship?

My favourite rapper from my yoof but that is utterly bizarre. Bloke is unhinged.

Maybe MA’s already started job shadowing for his new position?

Sometimes I giggle about the frothing lunatic who’s put me on ignore and now has to constantly log out to see what I’ve said. Beneath that counterfeit persona lurks the same pitifully desperate egomaniac.

I’m sure the twtd faithful are busy cancelling their plans for a three-day grime and rap marathon as we speak. Right after they finish not having tickets and not knowing the lineup.

Nothing says 'serious about racism' more the wheeling out these facetious gotchas every time the opportunity arises, while somehow never quite applying it evenly. Real dedication to the bit.

Get away out of that

I have a feeling he has done similar before. Maybe he and Drake were due to do a night each - Drake pulled out, so Kanye did both nights?

Completely agree, no way they could take three days off patrolling the forum.

You're kidding!?!

Genuinely thought he'd been completely cancelled and was unbookable

I would guess you could count the number of people on TWTD with tickets to Wireless on one hand.

But is that a normal hand or a Norfolk one?

Where did I mention TWTD? One would hope that enough people who have already booked tickets will be returning them in protest.

Okay fine, in good faith, if someone has a ticket to Wireless and considers themselves anti-racist and boycotts other stuff because of racism but doesn't boycott Wireless when Kanye headlines it, you could argue it would be a bit of hypocrisy.

It just feels like such a pointless straw man argument.

He sounds nice. I'll happily make the ultimate sacrifice of not buying tickets. Who'd want to go to a wireless festival anyway? Isn't it all Compact Disk Players these days?

Maybe they're angry that Kanye has been booked, but don't feel it's the right time to boycott the festival and want to support the other artists on the bill? Maybe the time for asking questions is after the festival season?

It's not a straw man argument. It is completely unacceptable that he has been booked to perform at Wireless. There should be a campaign from anti racist organisations to stop this happening and people who have pre booked tickets should make their feelings known to the organisers.

I would hope that other artists already booked will threaten to withdraw performing unless Ye is cancelled.

I'd be amazed if there were not protests about him being booked.

I think both of those things are very likely, don't you? The tone of the OP is very 'gotcha', is all.

haven't you heard, he's made an unreserved apology, so everyone should forget it ever happened and not protest in any way!

seriously though, wonder how pepsi feel about being linked to this anti-semite, are they trying to curry favour with the trumpian free-speechers?

It's funny because that is actually what he did. Seemed reasonably sincere to me, but I'm also of the opinion that some of his antics were simply unforgiveable and his apology hasn't really changed any of that.

clearly a very damaged individual, the apology appears to be a start, but i think we have to see whether it's a genuine change before he gets reintegrated to this extent...
