What’s the cost of 5 away games in 17 days? 13:01 - Apr 8 with 1913 viewsIllinoisblue

Tickets and travel alone got to be a few hundred quid at least. Add in beers and food. Fair play to anyone doing all five.

I have a travel plan in place should we end up in the playoff final. A trip I really really don’t want to make.

I'm only doing 3 of them (Pompey, Charlton, Southampton).

£80 in tickets, not a lot in travel as there's a group of 3 of us and we're driving to 1 each. We normally find a nice pub en route to stop for food, few pints pre match. £150 across the 3 probably covers that. £250 all in. Watching Town get promoted at St Mary's thanks to a Jack Taylor bullet? Priceless.

Biggest cost to me is probably the ear ache I'll get from my wife.

Only away days for me at the moment.

It’s obscenely expensive. The match tickets are the least of it, especially for anyone not fancying a drive and wanted to use the trains.

It's time as much as anything else, at least London is better located to get to all of those but I ended up sending my Portsmouth ticket back.

Might need a hotel for Southampton though.....

Same here - but 2 of those are down the road for me and the other is the ‘right side of the river’ so fairly easy to get to.

Yeah, they're all locked in. Gonna try to get home from Charlton that night, saving on hotel and beers. WBA is just petrol cost and Norwich is closer than a home match.
I think I'll cut back on away trips next season. Like many I've done pretty much all of them since covid.

I'm doing all 5, driving to all of them and hotel stays for both Portsmouth and Southampton. I don't add it up.

We’re doing 4/5 having returned the Pompey tickets after it ended up midweek.

Dread to think of the cost as we travel from Edinburgh - but when / if we win promotion we want to be there to enjoy it. Can’t place a price on that!!

If we could get promoted by Charlton please I'd happily ditch the last two!

Gonna be expensive for sure.

I'll be at all 5. Fortunately, being based in the South West, all of them apart from Norwich are closer than home games.

For Pompey, Saints and Charlton, they are all possible without needing to take time off work. So from that point of view, not too bad at all.

The 5am start for the Norwich game is a bit of a pain, but at least I'll be home relatively early.

Talking of costs the Charlton game could be the cheapest game of the season.

Match tickets total: £28
Train tickets: £23
Probably £12ish for the tube/train on the night.
A no beer away day and probably a McDonalds on the train back £15.

Is it?

Of course you’re right, I should’ve maybe said the prices are based on two, except the train/tube as he goes for free.

I can easily spend £15 to myself in McDs sometimes though
