actually there was some decent history and useful new info. If you don't want to watch it, the salient point is that the West/Brittania/Co-op stand is going to have 4k added to it first, in circa 12 months' time, so that season ticket holders in the Cobbold can be relocated. I thought the content was o.k. timelines a bit vague maybe. But that may be due to where we are league wise.
Whilst I am not concerned with regards to the outlay as we might have been when the North and Churchams were developed because the then owner Mr Sheepshanks wouldn't have had the financial clout of gamechanger 20 and the parachute payments were non existent and we had big payoffs of Matteo Sereni and Finidi George which ultimately lead to administration and those dreary years of Marcus Evans. The only thing that would concern me would be 20,000 gates in a 40,000 capacity stadium.
It's obvious that if we believe there are 6,000 waiting in the wings for tickets and that currently big clubs can only bring 3,000 away fans to PR then 40,000 is quite feasible. |  | | |

Tbf when we build that new Cobbold stand it be more than seats going in there... itll be a 365 day s a year venue with all the club offices and executive suites and possibly changing rooms included as that corner housing the existing facilities is really outdated now even though its all been upgraded. Once all thats gone i guess theres anothe area that could be developed for spectators. | | | |

I was standing in front of the Portman (Cobbold) stand. There were no seats or Exec boxes then.
I say standing. But wedged would be a better description. Being a teenager and not the tallest seeing anything bar people’s backs was a momentary thing!
It was packed. I remember it being a great atmosphere/experience though. We knew it was special because it was the furthest we’d got, we had a good side and it was dirty Leeds.
