| Really annoying but trivial things 20:32 - Jun 8 with 3502 views | Dubtractor | As per the title, what fairly trivial things really annoy you? My entry for this is streaming services jumping straight to the next episode without letting the credits roll, unless you really quickly stop it doing so. [Post edited 8 Jun 21:26]

| Really annoying but trivial things on 02:31 - Jun 9 with 830 views | Ryorry | BB dates written in near invisible ink anywhere & everywhere on different packaged food and drink items. Having wasted about a year of my life searching for them, there should be a law requiring them to all be in the same place, eg top right in decently sized characters contrasting in colour with the surface. And also on the drinks cartons theme, just stop it with the stupid modern fashion for a ridge-roof top and flip-top opening which results in 20% of the contents ending up on the floor, work surface and yourself. *Bring back screw tops*, there was nothing wrong with them; nor with level tops that were easier to drink from and could be stacked. Grrrr! | |

The increase in people bringing their (non service) dogs into shops. Maybe this is a US thing. It happens a lot over here. Other drivers who don’t acknowledge you when you let them in. No shows and other timewasters when you’re selling stuff on fb marketplace

| Really annoying but trivial things on 09:33 - Jun 9 with 678 views | GlasgowBlue | People who pull out in front of you at a junction, causing you to hit the brakes, and then proceed to drive 10 miles less than the speed limit. People with rucksacks. People who walk side by side along the canal and don’t move out of the way when they see me running towards them. If the choice is falling in the canal or running straight through you then I’m running straight through you. Agree with you on the streaming show jumping straight to the next episode without letting the credits roll. A lot of shows now have a post credit scene that you miss. Took me years to figure out that you could hit the back button to stop the next episode okaying and jet the credits roll. | |

| Really annoying but trivial things on 09:39 - Jun 9 with 667 views | DanTheMan | This is very close to one of GBs but just people who drive 5-10 miles per hour under the speed limit when there is no reason to do so. I live near a 40 road that is very well sign posted and very straight, all things considered. There's always one person holding everyone else up so they can drive between 30-35. Very trivial, utterly infuriating. [Post edited 9 Jun 9:41]

| Really annoying but trivial things on 00:52 - Jun 9 by armchaircritic59 | Well, I thought of a somewhat topical one seen as this is generally a football based website. Commentators who call players by different names to what they have on their shirts. I guess players have those names on their shirts because that's what they want to be known by. Probably doesn't matter much to your average reasonably clued up football supporter, but to someone more casual, they are probably scratching their heads. I wonder how many times it's going to happen at the World Cup. Simple to do! |

They're the same people that take a mouthful of food and then immediately try to speak to you.

Whose idea is it to make a hole in my new socks for this thing? 2. Having to find scissors and then carefully separate enough socks so I can cut the tiny thin plastic without cutting my socks and adding another hole. 3. Plastic sucks, surely there’s a better way in 2026.

Being late - I forgot that one! It really grinds my gears if I’m late (I very rarely am and if so it’s because of something beyond my control). If other people are late it annoys me even more. A good friend of mine is never on time. Grrrrr

I often pull a face at these types as I walk past them, not been caught out yet. Don't blame me if you get mugged of your phone.

In particular those people who stop at the bottom of an escalator or stairs to push down the handle of their suitcase on wheels. And then immediately stop at the top to pull the handle back up again whilst everyone piles into the back of them. And similar getting on a train. All this p155ing about with suitcase handles up & down.

You've given an almost word for word answer that I did once before when this subject came up. It's an absolute bugbear of mine, having previously worked in Covent Garden for 25 years and travelled on the tube and encountering this behaviour on a daily basis.

Wouldn't even happen if everyone used rucksacks when they travel. Would it, Glassers ?

Re pay machines - don’t blame the stupid system & people having to use them for the first time. Re disabled and parent- child spaces - if there are shedloads available, disabled people who don’t happen to have a badge should be allowed to use them to help save their backs etc. imho.
