| Is it too late……… 11:31 - Aug 27 with 1812 views | BlueNomad | for the pundits and “experts” to change their minds? I guess the best we can expect from them is that they become patronising. [Post edited 27 Aug 11:31]

| Is it too late……… on 11:34 - Aug 27 with 1768 views | BlueBadger | If we're looking reasonably good round Christmas time, they'll be talking about well we recruited, what a smart appointment we made with GON was and something about how the teams we've played have been on bad days at the office. | |

| Is it too late……… on 11:37 - Aug 27 with 1691 views | BlueDouglas | who cares what the pundits think, it's always just a load of bland soundbites These days it's more interesting listening to what the fan podcasters on youtube are saying they actually know their stuff and do proper research | |

| Is it too late……… on 11:39 - Aug 27 with 1645 views | ThatMuhrenCross | Don't care what the pundits think because the majority think Coventry are staying up "because of Frank Lampard" and we're going down because we've "lost Kieran McKenna". That's the level of their analysis. Really deep, well-thought-out stuff... | |

| Is it too late……… on 11:39 - Aug 27 with 1638 views | Bent_double | Firstly, don't care - they can say what they like before the start of the season based on "what they know" - and they might be right, they might be wrong. None of us know how this season will pan out, but with the signings we've made, surely lower mid table is absolutely possible? Over to you GON - and it really is down to him and his team now - otherwise I think he'll be gon in January. | |

| Is it too late……… on 11:40 - Aug 27 with 1616 views | Blue_Uprising | Well at least they get their predictions out early before the end of the transfer window to win the clicks battle. Almost as if proper analysis is not the point of their videos and podcasts anyway. | | | |
| Is it too late……… on 11:44 - Aug 27 with 1563 views | J2BLUE | People need to get over it. Going for the three promoted teams is just the easiest bet for pundits. If I was a pundit I would say the promoted three as well. It's the safe and boring option. | | | |
| Is it too late……… on 12:04 - Aug 27 with 1436 views | Wallingford_Boy | Should we maybe save the gloating until May?! Some good looking signings on paper, but lets wait for a bit yeah? | |

| Is it too late……… on 12:09 - Aug 27 with 1396 views | TripSwitch | I think there's a strong case to be made for us to stay up now with the signings that have come in. Football of course is played on grass not paper. Oh bollux to this, we're finishing top half | |

Will it be that easy next season though if wolves and west ham bounce back? Will they be tipped to drop given they were established prem sides prior to last season?

Yes they'll be full of praise when we prove ourselves. Until then best to put on mute if winding anyone up.

| Is it too late……… on 12:40 - Aug 27 with 1087 views | jas0999 | It’s still going to be very tough. Manchester United away. Liverpool at home. Tough fixtures. | | | |
| Is it too late……… on 12:41 - Aug 27 with 1065 views | Guthrum | It's funny, one of the more complimentary appraisals of our transfer window and chances I have heard on the radio came from Chris Sutton, of all people. He seems to like what we're doing. That and Rooney on MOTD last Saturday. | |

It will just be funnier if they’re wrong Reminds me of some on here crying about MOTD last time, when they were saying how terrible we were (which was basically true at the level!)

| Is it too late……… on 12:56 - Aug 27 with 940 views | Exiled2Surrey | Those that think a bit more carefully are already noticing - really interesting podcast “the Transfer Flow” just published with Ali Maxwell as guest, talking about the EFL pyramid and the three promoted teams’ chances of survival in the EPL - well worth a listen…. This was recorded pre-Palacios and Abraham, but they still see us as by far the best equipped to survive. | | | |

They'll be predicted to go down too because they were two of the three worst teams last season, and since then will have been substantially weakened by departures. Not to say they wouldn't do the same as us and give themselves a chance, but yes, the pundits would absolutely have them both to go down.

| Is it too late……… on 13:51 - Aug 27 with 696 views | gordon | Still going to be incredibly tough - difficult to see Hull and Coventry have much chance of staying up, true, but if you look around at some of the squads we've got to finish above, it isn't easy to find three or four other teams that are obviously weaker. I actually still don't think it would be unreasonable for a pundit to predict relegation, given that some of these players are either totally unproven in the Premier League, cast-offs from lower-mid table teams, in Abraham's case, haven't pulled up that many trees for a few years. The signs look good though, and we're giving it one hell of a go. | | | |

yeah agreed. I think the only thing that rankles slightly is predicting Coventry to do well because of Frank Lampard which seems to be based solely on him being a big name.
