Particularly liked us getting behind Nunez after the slip and the response to the team at the end. But there's always a fly in the ointment. Bloke behind me spent the entire game screaming 'c*"t' at everyone. Seemed to think he's the only person to ever shout 'second ball' and gave Chuba some horrendous abuse all the time he was on I know it's not always great to use this line but my first thought was 'I don't remember you at Forest Green or millions of games before that'. Will never understand supporters who don't want to support the team. Show frustration yes but gratuitously abusing the team and thinking you're a big man for it is just pathetic and not support. Otherwise great away following.

Absolute bell end Other than that , we were loud and proud [Post edited 30 Aug 21:44]

There are so many nasty, idiotic, booze-fueled bellends ruining the experience for people who actually want to watch their team play away from home. But I'll be at Selhurst Park on 12th September. More fool me. 🙈

That stuff is all a bit cringe and tinpot. Would be better with proper anthems that get behind the team rather than soccer AM level rubbish.

What ? Do you realise how many Towen fans would have loved to have been at that game? Yet you reckon a few Norwich fans got tickets! Righto!

What are you waffling about? No Norwich fan is following Ipswich away, you plonker.

I’m amazed if anyone is surprised that we lost to Manu at Old Trafford tbh. It’s going to be a long season if people don’t chill out a bit 😎👍.

It's not even that I was thinking of, it's the way some have a go at individual players like Nunez for slipping over on a very wet surface eg; or saying that "5 goals against is never acceptable", as if two of them weren't incredibly unlucky. Absolutely ridiculous, can only think they're either new to football,or not Town fans.

| Di**head supporters on 09:11 - Aug 31 with 2625 views | Farmerpiles | Went yesterday on what was my 60th birthday! For me, our support was superb throughout the entire game. Only second time I've been to OT and it was exactly the same atmosphere wise this time as before, just about zero home vocal support. Maybe cos it's just 'Ipswich' and fans couldn't be bothered to back their team against 'lesser opposition '? How many times have we at PR produced a lackluster vocal backing against lower league teams in cups? Only noise was when they scored..of course. We as fans sung continously , Edward Ebenezer got an outing various times and the backing Nunez got after his slip and the applause and 'Nunez,Nunez' as he was subbed was superb...proper support. And yes, as always a minority not watching the game, spent not looking at the pitch but at opposition fans offering them out or shouting at their mates 3 rows away. Nothing new there, just as happened at away grounds back in the 80's. Anyway, was v happy with first half performance wise. Second half, fell apart. Up the Towen | | | |
| Di**head supporters on 09:19 - Aug 31 with 2557 views | Swansea_Blue | We sounded banging at the end. Brilliant support getting behind the team. We’ll need that all season and especially when the going’s tough. Man U fans came across very loud at times, but generally dreadful. There doesn’t appear to be much support there when they don’t get things their own way. And wtf was the end all about. You’re winning 5-1 and the stadium’s half empty. | |

| Di**head supporters on 09:27 - Aug 31 with 2485 views | WolfieAtTheBack | I do wonder sometimes where all these people were when we were playing Preston away in the championship, and losing, obviously. In lighter news and a good story from last season some town fans in their 70s sat chatting to my son saying I remember your dad when he was your age coming with his dad and their mate, so that was good to have completed the ITFC full circle. | | | |

Did the 'big man' celebrate our goals? - I expect he did, but you haven't mentioned that bit. Let's not forget people show emotion in different ways. I was absolutely fuming yesterday during that crazy 15mins in the 2nd half and would undoubtedly shared a few choice words. Is that allowed?
