A poor finish, but as you rightly put he made that chance and he did atleast hit the target..

McAteer has been immense today. Fighting for everything - often winning the ball back when he shouldn’t. Excellent positional play and running off the ball.
The save was right below me, but I’m far enough back that I couldn’t see it clearly - but it looked like a finger tip save by the ‘keeper. Maybe he could have done better, but I’ll reserve judgement until I watch it back.

Interesting how similar the finish for the goal was too. Just a far better connection on it.
The one he missed, the keeper didn't hang on to and McAteer nearly got the rebound. Great composure to get it right the second time he got the chance. | |

Agreed not his fault we conceded but the point is that you need to finish those and then it's a different match entirely.
At least he put the lovely move away later.
