Yup. He's not bang on it in terms of last man positioning, but that's a shared responsibility across a defence which is clunky and non-communicative at the moment, but the rest of his game has been good this season, aerially, interceptions and going forward.
Diop has disappointed me so far, would rather see O'Shea back in the middle with Ouatarra (who's looked really composed and physical in the middle) in at RB. O'Shea in the middle would probably improve the communication and organisation.
Also got to get someone doing the Matusiwa role in front - better tonight than at OT, but still too gappy in front of the defence. |  |

Literally, he's played for going forwards,which he does well at. But I'd rather have a solid defender who's more canny. I look forward to a game without him to see if it makes a difference defensively... we'll see. |  |

Couldn't agree more. Diop has really frustrated me; how many times have we seen Greaves having to cover over on his side with him out of position.
I'm hoping that Quattaro will be the answer at RB, but at this point I'm thinking we would be no worse off with last season's back 4 of Furlong, O'Shea, Greaves & Davis. | |

Greaves is a good athlete, wins aerial duels, brings the ball forward, and passes well. But his game-reading and anticipation continue to be poor. For Liv's first tonight, he ball-watched, like we've seen him do many times before. I hoped he'd grow out of it by now. The priority was Izak, not Gakpo with the ball 40 yards out. He left Izak, who scored. He still doesn't sense danger well enough. Maybe it can't be taught.
Saying that, he was nowhere near as bad as Scherpen tonight, and Fatawu didn't help playing Izak onside with the second. Still worryiing. |  | | |
