To be honest, we could do with some competitive results. Clubs sitting on single digit points going too far into the season will more likely create high tides where 17th needs more points to be safe. Ourselves, Leicester and Saints were absolutely no use to each other the last time we were up there. We were not able to pull enough teams into the mix.
We are unlikely to avoid relegation by several points, it will be tight and we need to look at more teams slipping up than Hull and Cov. |  |

It’s not about that. Last time we were almost competitive with Saints and Leicester (one point from each) but taken to the cleaners bar the odd freak result by everyone else.
This time we have better players and know what the task is. We have a better chance and that’s ok and actually enough.
As long as these guys give it their best and strive to improve that’ll do me. If it’s not enough so be it, but despite today’s disappointment I think we might be ok. Beyond the usual suspects, most are patchy results wise at the moment. Early days |  | | |

To be fair a lots of comments last weekend (myself included) were that they would be statistically dead if they lost this week. No promoted team (since the premier league started) has survived with 0 points after 5 games. As it happens the 3 points now puts them on a historical chance of survival
Of 12% which does not seem unreasonable. If they go on to survive they will shift the stats to 15% of promoted clubs surviving.
Incidentally based on promoted teams that had exactly 6 points after 5 games. 28.6% of those clubs went onto survive. |  | | |

They have been growing into the PL and will likely get some results here on in, hopefully Hull are now growing out of the PL.
I think this could be the most open PL for a long time, it worries me a little that it may take a record number of points to stay up this year.
If we can keep taking 6 points every 5 games though we will be fine. Any game against a so called bottom half side has to be a must not lose and games like yesterday anything from those is just a bonus. | |

I think it was as much as Forest being awful yesterday rather than Cov being good. Delap had a bad day and he could have played another few hours and still not have scored. From what I have seen from them, I don't think the squad is good enough and not as strong as ours. We just need to worry about us than focus on them | | | |
