The sooner the Premier League sort out their sanctions the better.

There won't be any. I'm resigned to that. They'll buy their way out of punishment.

The PL clubs will probably be given so cash to shut up. Or threatened that the TV deal won't be so strong without them.

The punishment should be announced and no appeal. City have had years to make their arguments.

Haaland smiling away smugly, their players and manager celebrating wildly.
They've clearly been told by the club we will stop at nothing.

Dock them 70 points, 2 year transfer ban and lets get on with it.

In the other thread they are described as a stain. 100% correct.

They’ll get out of it. Threats, bribery, little envelopes, political pressure you name it. They, like Chelsea, MU, Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs are more important than the game and the game exists to serve them.

I didn’t watch them this afternoon because they sicken me.

I hated watching them today - smug barstewards. Cheating scum but for some reason I just can see a punishment that suits the narrative but has no real effect and they'll laugh it off
Started today - Liverpool should not have had a player sent off

70 isn't enough. Honestly, I think it needs to be relegation to League Two, at the very least, and a 65 points deduction (doing the maths) for a couple of seasons, just to prevent them from re-climbing the ladder straight away.

Would you take the blame if this was ITFC?

Don’t forget that the period covered ends about 2017/18 - there is no way they mended their ways after that and will still be at it today. Why would they suddenly stop if they thought they were doing nothing wrong?

Same as Southampton only spying on three teams despite the claim the manager didn't realise he was doing anything wrong.

Christ alive, the current players are only at Man City because 900million pounds worth of cheating laid the foundation for them to steal trophies.

Today's game was one of the most depressing spectacles in the history of football. If the Premier League don't act quickly the competition will lose all credibility and their 'product' will be left a hollow sham.

Fast track the appeal and get on with dishing out a proportionate punishment, which in my view would be relegation to League Two and a ten year transfer ban. Perhaps then they'll learn you have to actually work for success.

And as for Pep - no more talk about him being the greatest coach of all time.

The fans have a choice now though. They could protest and try and force the ownership out - instead they're doubling down on supporting them and singing 'we cheat when we want'. They are complicit.

My take on it precisely. Unfortunately there is no punishment I can think of that won't punish those that have played no part in the whole sorry affair, as well as those found guilty. It's the price you can pay for trusting that a club you support is being run correctly and within all known rules and regulations. This is going to drag on for ages I fear. They'll just appeal everything that goes against them.

I have a certain amount of sympathy for Man City.

If Utd, Liverpool etc etc can spend hundreds of millions of pounds on players whilst being heavily in debt then I don’t see why Man City (or other clubs) can’t do the same. It’s just a way that the traditional big clubs can maintain their position whilst not allowing any other clubs to compete.

Saying that, if found guilty the only justified punishments in my mind can be.

1. Their domestic titles and other honours be stripped from the record books.
2. 115 point deduction - starting from now and ending in whatever season they ‘break even’ in the PL.
3. Transfer ban matching how many transfer windows they cooked the books.
4. Immediate ban on their fans doing the Poznan.
5. Double the punishment if a large scale Poznan breaks out within the next 115 years.

They can spend millions on players while being heavily in debt, just the same as all other clubs. What they can't do is falsify documentation to evade the spending rules all teams in the Prem are bound by (which work on income, not debt).

If debt were the deciding factor, everyone would be under a rolling transfer embargo for the forseeable future.

As for the ability to compete, Liverpool are on the same number of points as us and ManU three fewer. The latter nearly got themselves sucked into a relegation scrap the last couple of seasons.

So you basically agree with me that Man City should be banned from doing the Poznan?
