Was hoping to see some of Ashton's bridge building before now tbh, as it really needs something to take the edge off it. Such an unbelievable own goal.

| I can’t see there being any issues…. on 15:08 - Apr 1 with 834 views | Bloots | ….most of the people that have negative feelings strong enough to change the atmosphere have either said they aren’t going now or never went anyway. I expect the worse you’ll see on Monday is the odd sarcy comment from either side. The next away day might be a bit more lively, but that’s usually the case anyway. | |

| Its going to be bloody horrible in the stands on Monday, isn't it? on 14:58 - Apr 1 by nrb1985 | Who cares what other people think? This is about ITFC, it’s fans and the contempt we’ve been shown by that clownish buffoon in charge. I couldn’t give a fk what anybody else thinks. I care what I think and I think integrity and not being a racist sympathizing weasel is an important characteristic in a CEO. You don’t I guess? |
You couldn't give a fk what anybody else thinks.... And there lies the crux of the issue. In your echo chamber, the issue is magnified by 100x. Outside of Suffolk, most people have stopped talking about it already. This "clownish buffoon" has overseen the most radical overhaul our club has ever seen. He's certainly no buffoon. He's made a glaring error of judgment and needs to face the music, but why does the language have to be *so* polarising? [Post edited 1 Apr 15:52]

| Its going to be bloody horrible in the stands on Monday, isn't it? on 15:28 - Apr 1 with 786 views | Bluedandy | A PR disaster seems a fair summation of recent events but in the UK as a whole most people do not care. With eight games to go Ipswich will probably not get a better opportunity of promotion. This is not about Ashton, Reform, or anybody else, it's about Ipswich Town. If you genuinely love the football club then devote all your energy as a supporter into helping Town return to the top flight. Only those condemned to wear yellow and green want us to screw up, don't help their cause. The economic benefits to the town and wider community are huge and potentially transformative if we stayed in the Premier League longer term . The Championship will be a much, much tougher place next season. [Post edited 1 Apr 15:29]

| Its going to be bloody horrible in the stands on Monday, isn't it? on 12:26 - Apr 1 by J2BLUE | Do you know anyone in the real world who has mentioned it? I work with Blackburn, Forest, Wolves, Spurs, Man U, Chelsea, Arsenal, Leicester and Liverpool fans. Constantly talking football over Slack. Not one person has mentioned it. Not one person has mentioned it face to face. It was utterly stupid and a big mistake but this idea we're not Reform's club etc is laughable. |
....and that includes other Ipswich fans, loads of other football fans, family and a Guardian reading lefty Liverpool fan that I played golf with this morning. As noted by some from the outset, the feeling on here shouldn't be taken as representative of the wider world. Last weeks news is this weeks chip paper.

literally? wrong on so many levels, don't let ashton pull the wool over your eyes again plenty of real-life fans here have mentioned it, have to be some kind of head-in-the-sand ostrich not to know about it given the amount of different national and international media it's been mentioned in!

I agree. Most people couldn’t give a monkeys even if they’ve heard or read about it. I’ve had a nose round a few other clubs’ forums - didn’t spot a mention. I was out Sunday with golfing chums two of which are quite mouthy that support West Ham and Spurs - no mention. Of my friends, Chelsea, Arsenal, Newcastle, Charlton, Leeds, Sunderland x2 - nothing. That’s just my experience. And quite frankly, why should they be interested or care? I hardly care about Norwich’s drunken cook staggering about the pitch or what ghastly sponsor they lined up let alone what Birmingham supporters might think. They live in the worst part of a rat infested city and are, supporter wise, down there with the dregs. Ever been to St Andrews? I have, years ago. Knuckledraggers. Made the old Den look pristine and occupied by choirboys and that was built on a rubbish tip. Other supporters? I’m not interested. Our supporters and investors - very interested. A CEO that lied. Very very interested. But I won’t be on Monday and I’ll be very surprised if anyone around me mentions it. I am going Monday for the team. My team who have done nothing wrong and the last thing I want to mix with that is talk about politicians (they can all be dropped in the sea in a weighted bag) and a CEO.

"be vocal over politics" - the stadium will be loudly vocal about politics whether we are or not jas. Birmingham, like the rest of the football world will now see us as Reform FC. Brum's main supporters group twitter account posted about this earlier. Doesn't make much difference whether they actually believe it or are just chanting to taunt us. And you know what? While Ashton is still here, there's at least a grain of truth to: "Nigel Farage, he's one of your own."

people just want to watch a match and get ashton out. you're not one to talk about over-reaction, you have a hissy fit every time the players misplace a pass, make the slightest mistake or we fail to win 5-0! hardly the greatest supporter, i'm surprised if you've ever wanted to watch an itfc match...
